Benvenuto! As you may see I am transferring some content from the nl wiktionary to the it wiktionary and I am inserting a botanical glossary based on English here - for now only very few Italian terms are present and I am hoping to change this. Btw. there's always the issue on how to order language names - I'd prefer to use the order of the iso codes, as this would make interchangeability easier, but there's no decision up to now and since some will always amend it for now I leave them "as is". Hopefully one day we will have a database so this issue won't have importance as the UI will extract the right order. Have a great day! SabineCretella 07:00, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)

Thank you very much for the welcome. And... yes, I think we should order the languages following the ISO-codes. I shall get the codes of the Dutch wiktionary. And I have also a question about a subject who is here more important then on the Dutch wiktionary: For many Italian dialects, who have some other words like in the Italian language, are no ISO-codes, also not on the most new list that I have, so I cannot introduce them here. Example, "water" in Ferrarese is "aqua", not "acqua"... Maybe here we must self make the codes ? S.V.E.T. 16:46, Nov 14, 2004 (UTC)

Codes: you can download a basic code list of iso 639-1 and 639-2 here (there could be some errors in there as it was compiled by hand - I am uploading updated lists every now and then and if you like, I can tell you when they are there. One of the next steps is to integrate ISO 639-3. You can download it here: http://www.wesolveitnet.com/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?cid=3&lid=19 (I built it for wiktionary, but also distribute it to anyone interested - so sometimes I receive integrations that can be useful for us.
